- CHDNA undertakes to provide our members with competent umpires to ensure our competitions are enjoyable and played within the spirit of the game.
- CHDNA also undertakes to nurture and encourage our umpires to continually strive to improve and to perform at their highest possible level, to provide an enjoyable and well controlled game for all players, umpires and spectators.
- CHDNA will endeavour to provide two umpires per game in most instances, but only guarantee one.

Prospective umpires must have a good grasp of the All Australian New Rules and it is preferred that they have passed the Section 1 Umpire exam. This can be done free online via the Australian Netball website or by clicking here
CHDNA provides quality umpiring coaching for beginner umpires.
In return for consistent and committed umpires, CHDNA offers to pay umpires for their time, provide umpires with a CHDNA umpiring shirt (free of charge) and provide ongoing support and mentoring.
