Season Team Fees

Ladies and Mixed:

$1,640 per team (including GST). Game fees will be invoiced to the team captain with one full payment to be made by Week 3 of the competition

Individual player contributions to team fees are managed by the team captain.  This includes for all players entering and exiting throughout the season.

Walking Netball

$70 per person (including GST).

You will not be able to take the court unless game fees are paid on time

Individual Registration Fees

CHNDA is affiliated with Netball Queensland. Netball Connect is the platform used by CHNDA to manage registrations and competitions for netball activities. You can access Netball Connect at https://registration.netballconnect.com.

Individual registration fees are separate from team fees and are the responsibility of each player. These fees are paid directly to Netball Queensland.

The registration fee is $41 (for 2025 social membership) and is charged annually per player. It must be paid at the time of registration and before the player takes the court, even for fill-in positions. Players under 16 are not eligible for Netball Queensland social membership.

Players are NOT allowed to take the court (and an automatic loss will be applied) if:

  • They are not 2025 Netball Qld members; or
  • Have not paid their registration fee
  • Team game fees have not been paid
Game Fee Refunds

Teams may receive refunds at the end of the season for any BYE rounds. Refunds are unable to be carried over to the next season.

Scoring

All scoring is done live via netball connect.  The home team (team listed first on the draw) is responsible for scoring.  Live scoring provides transparency of scores throughout the game – any issues with scoring should be brought up immediately with the umpires at quarter time breaks.

Team Attendance:

Player attendance for games will be recorded through Netball Connect. This can only be performed by the team manager. You can have an unlimited number of managers on Netball Connect, making it easier to record attendance each week, even if the team captain is unavailable at the courts. Attendance can also be recorded remotely.

Wet Weather

Wet weather calls will be made 1 hour prior to the start of game play and will be publicised on CHDNA social pages. CHDNA will attempt to reschedule postponed games throughout the season when possible, which may require teams to play two games in one night. Games that cannot be rescheduled will not be refunded. The first week of the Easter school holidays is scheduled as a rain catch-up week if required.

Forfeits

A forfeit fee of $50 applies to teams who do not give 24+ hours notice and for any teams that do not show up. Forfeits should be emailed through to play@cannonhillnetball.com. Unfortunately, forfeit games cannot be refunded.  In the event of a forfeit, the non-forfeiting team will be awarded the points for the game.

Fill In’s

Teams must field a team of at least 5 of their registered players. You are able to use up to 2 fill in’s provided the fill in player is from a division below or your own division – no fill ins from higher divisions are allowed*. If a fill in does not officially belong to a team, once they have filled in for the same team 3 times, they will then be considered to officially be part of that team.

*Fill-ins for the lowest division may use players from 1 division above with agreement of attending committee member

It is not the club’s responsibility to find fill in’s for teams. Teams requiring fill-in’s are encouraged to use our Facebook Fill In post that is uploaded every Monday to source players.

Please note, fill in players are not excluded from Netball Queensland membership and must be registered before taking the court.

Umpiring

Our dedicated Umpires Convener plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and fair game experience. They work closely with our umpires throughout the season, providing ongoing mentorship and training to enhance their skills.

For any questions or concerns during the game, the team captain has the opportunity to approach the umpires during designated breaks. However, if the captain feels the situation requires further attention, they can request the presence of the Umpires Convener or an executive committee member for assistance and observation of the remaining game.

This approach allows for a timely and fair resolution while respecting the authority of the on-court officials.

Bibs:

Teams are responsible for providing their own bibs for games. However, CHDNA offers bib rentals at the clubhouse before your game for a small fee. In cases of a colour clash, CHDNA will provide loaner bibs free of charge in this situation.

Jewellery and Nails

CHDNA asks that all jewellery be removed. Those players wishing to tape jewellery (studs only) do so at their own risk – in case of injury, CHDNA or members take no responsibility.  Taped nails are not allowed – There may be gloves available for hire or purchase at the clubhouse but not guaranteed

 Facebook

Facebook is a great way to keep up to date with CHDNA news, including what is happening in the event of wet weather. www.facebook.com/CHDNA.

From time to time, we will take photo’s during games and publish them on Facebook. If you do not want your team featured, please let us know.

Roster

Each team will be responsible for set up or pack down once during the season with the support of a committee member. Primary tasks will be to ensure all post padding is in place and/or packed away. Your rostered week will coincide with your team playing in the first or last round.

Finals:

To be eligible to play, all players must be officially registered with your team – no fill-ins allowed. Additionally, players need to have participated in at least 3 games during the season and have their registration fees paid.
