The Basics

CHDNA runs Social competitions for Women, Mixed and Walking teams at Bill Cash Memorial Park, 898 Wynnum Road, Cannon Hill.

The minimum age to play in these social competitions is 14 years.

Games are 40 minutes long broken into 10 minute quarters.

No requests for game times can be considered.

Game times vary from week to week.

No player may take court until they are registered with Netball Queensland.  A Team with an unregistered player will attract sanctions.

Grading

Women’s competition – first 2 weeks is allocated to grading teams – no ladder points are accumulated.

Mixed competition – first week may be used for grading – where no ladder points will be accumulated.

Season Team Fees

Women’s / Mixed

$1,640 per team (including GST).  Game fees will be invoiced to the team captain with one full payment to be made by Round 3 of the competition.

Individual player contributions to team fees are managed by the team captain.  This includes for all players entering and exiting throughout the season.

Walking

$70 per person (including GST).

Individual Registration Fees

CHNDA is affiliated with Netball Queensland and uses their preferred software platform Netball Connect to manage registrations and competitions for netball activities.

All players access Netball Connect to create their personal profile.

Individual registration fees are separate from team fees and are the responsibility of each player – these fees are paid directly to Netball Queensland.

The registration fee is $41 (for 2025 social membership) and is charged annually per player and is paid at the time of registration

Players under 16 are not eligible for Netball Queensland social membership.

Game Fee Refunds

Teams may receive refunds at the end of the season for any BYE rounds.

Refunds are unable to be carried over to the next season.

Scoring

All scoring is done live via Netball Connect.

The Home Team (team listed first on the draw) is responsible for scoring.

The Team Manager allocates a Scorer for each game.

Team Attendance

Player attendance for games will be recorded through Netball Connect  by the Team Manager.

A team may have an unlimited number of Managers on Netball Connect, making it easier to record attendance each week.

Attendance can also be recorded remotely.

Wet Weather

Wet weather calls will be made 1 hour prior to the start of game play and will be publicised on CHDNA social pages.

The rescheduling of postponed games may require teams to play two games in one night.

The first week of the Easter school holidays is scheduled as a rain catch-up week if required.

Forfeits

A forfeit fee of $50 applies to a team who does not give at least 24 hours notice, or does not show up to play.

Forfeits should be emailed through to play@cannonhillnetball.com

In the event of a forfeit, the non-forfeiting team will be awarded the points for the game.
